F.E.A.R. is a cult classic series of horror themed first person shooters known for great visuals, creepy atmosphere, solid enemy A.I. and thrilling gameplay. F.E.A.R. Online's announcement by Aeria Games might not be what every fan wanted to hear but the new title's first trailer shows the soul of the series could still be there under the features expected in free to play games.
This game will apparently focus on competitive play pitting the F.E.A.R. team against Armacham Technology Corporation troops while F.E.A.R. 3's Soul King mode will also make a return. Additionally and certainly closer to the series' original spirit, story based cooperative scenarios for up to four people will be depicting a story parallel to the second game's events.
There's currently no launch date but fans can sign up for a beta testing phase.
