Tropico 5 Announced

Original report: The next member in the Tropico family comes from Kalypso Media and Haemimont Studios and will offer new improvements in its formula of construction and management on the homonym island. It will be released in 2014 for Windows, Mac, Linux and Xbox 360.

Tropico 5 will take place from the 19th to the 21st century as you take control of developments through members of the presidential family, who improve with experience in any tasks you assign.



You will be progressing by researching new types of buildings and renovating the old ones into more modern and efficient versions and you'll even have control of an advanced trading system on a global scale, made possible by trading fleets.

Tropico 5 will also allow the island's exploration with the goal of finding new resources, a challenging proposal tanks to wild animals and native tribes, while it will boast all new graphics that better represent a unique historic identity.

Finally, multi player modes for up to four players will allow them to cooperate or compete.
